The Bay Area Time Busters, also known as CGA District 1, is the local district for San Juan Bautista, Hollister, Gilroy, Morgan Hill and San Jose. We are the Inaugural district for the California Gymkhana Association. We hold our shows on the 2nd weekend of the month and they are usually run on both Saturday and Sunday.

We hold 2 large shows each year , first is our "Pot of Gold Show" held in the spring then in the fall is our "Aloha Show". At our "Pot of Gold " show we give Gold Coin cash awards to the top 3 riders in each division (6 divisions). Our "Aloha Show" is held over Labor Day Weekend and at this event the top prize is a saddle to the winner in each of the 6 divisions and prizes to 5th place. We host a BBQ and dance Sunday evening for our riders and sponsors. We average 80 riders at these larger shows and 60 riders at our monthly shows.

Gymkhana is timed obstacle racing on horseback. It is one of the most exciting, family oriented equestrian events in the world. It is also a fast growing sport that everyone can enjoy. There are currently 30 districts throughout the state of California. with riders ranging from age 2 to 92!

The Californian Gymkhana Association (CGA) offers riders an opportunity to participate in shows throughout California. Riders may earn a variety of awards while participating in 13 different events. Some events favor speed while others favor skill. Awards may be earned within 6 different levels from "Future Champion" to "Hall of Fame Rider."
